Thriston Lawrence, one of the brightest talents to emerge from South Africa, has secured a sponsorship from Simplify Mobility – a South African vehicle rental, fleet management and logistics company with a national footprint. Lawrence will become an ambassador for the business moving forward.
Signed to Modest Golf management, Thriston Lawrence became the youngest ever SA Amateur winner in 2013. He managed to retain his title in 2014, thereby becoming the first player to do so in 36 years. After winning the Lytham Trophy, Lawrence made his professional debut in 2014, going on to win the Order of Merit in his first full season as a pro.
Thriston commented ‘I really appreciate Simplify Mobility supporting me at the early stages of my professional career. To be supported by a company from my home country, is extra special and I look forward to working with Willie and his team moving forward’.
Willie Kriek, CEO, of Simplify Mobility commented: ‘We are delighted to have Thriston represent our company as he plays across both the European and South African golf tours and are expecting this talented young man to make great progress over the coming years’.
