Connor Syme Secures 2020 European Tour Card

Connor Syme today secured his European Tour card for the 2020 season after finishing inside the Top 15 on the 2019 Challenge Tour rankings.

The former Walker Cup squad member and top 10 world amateur finished the season on a high after a solid year which included his debut professional victory winning the Turkish Airlines Challenge in Atakum. The 25 year old Drumoig man birdied the first extra hole to beat Italian Franseco Laporta in a play off after the pair had finished locked together on 23 under par in a low scoring event at the Samsun Golf Club.

Other stand out performances for Syme included Top 15 finishes at the Swiss Challenge, the Costa del Sol Matchplay 9, the Italian challenge, the ISPS HANDA World Invitational presented by Modest Golf Management, the Hopps Open de Provence and the Lalla Aicha Challenge tour event.

Connor finished the season in style with his 8th top 15 finish at the Challenge Tour Grand Final in Mallorca at the stunning Club de Golf Alcanada. the performance secured his 2020 European Tour card and ensured that Connor can look forward to playing amongst the best golfers in Europe in the new year.
