Connor Syme

Country: Scotland
DOB: 11-07-1995

Connor enjoyed a remarkable career in the amateur ranks prior to turning his attention to the pro game. The Scottish talent burst on the scene when winning his National Boys Schools Championship and also reached the last four of the British Amateur. In 2016 he beat a star-studded field at the Australian Amateur Championship and climbed to as high as eighth in the world rankings before earning a call-up to the GB&I team for the 2017 Walker Cup.

When turning professional, the Scot wasted little time in showcasing his lofty reputation amongst the pros when firing four rounds in the 60s on debut at the Portuguese Masters in 2017. Connor claimed his first professional victory in style with a 23-under par winning total at the 2019 Turkish Airlines Challenge. His consistency was rewarded when graduating from the Challenge Tour’s season long Road to Mallorca last year to once again earn his full playing privileges to the European Tour for 2021 and beyond. Since his graduation Connor has recorded several stand out performances including back to back second place finishes at the 2022 Cazoo Open and ISPS Handa World Invitational.
